It's the first full weekend of October, and South Jersey is showing off: a massive pumpkin festival right in our backyard, a 150-artist craft show, a winery fall fest, and ~ if you dare ~ a haunted woods opening for the season. Grab a flannel and let's go.

Miller's Haunted Farm ~ Opening Night

Spooky season officially begins. Brave the mile-long Haunted Woods trail and the Haunted Maze on the Miller property, deep in Jersey Devil country. Heads up: this one's built for adults and older teens ~ not the little ones. Opening weekend tickets are half-off if you book online.

🎃 SATURDAY, October 3

Clayton Fall Festival & Trunk-or-Treat
📍 Autumn Pasquale Memorial Park, Clayton | 🕛 12–4 PM | 💲 Free
A perfect family afternoon ~ a seasonal Trunk-or-Treat, games, a DJ, and craft and food vendors. Bring the kids in costume.

White Horse Winery Fall Festival
📍 Hammonton | 🕚 11 AM–3 PM | 💲 Free
More of a grown-up vibe: food trucks, local vendors, lawn games, and live music at one of South Jersey's favorite wineries. Bring a blanket, grab a glass, and stay awhile.

WheatonArts Festival of Fine Craft (Day 1)
📍 Millville | 🕙 10 AM–5 PM | 💲 Included with admission ($14 adults, kids 5 & under free)
Worth the drive: WheatonArts' 27th annual celebration of handmade art brings 150+ juried artists, live craft demonstrations, a beer & wine garden, food trucks, and their famous glass pumpkin patch. A gorgeous fall day out.

🍁 SUNDAY, October 4

Blackwood Pumpkin Festival ~ THE main event
📍 Downtown Blackwood | 🕚 11 AM–4 PM | 💲 Free
A beloved South Jersey tradition since 1992, and it's minutes from home. Over 200 vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, pumpkin painting, scarecrow building, inflatables, and games ~ 8,000+ neighbors are expected. Park free at Highland Regional High School and hop the shuttle to skip the hunt for a spot.
